It was really extraordinarily written episode by Carina Adly Mackenzie. Season 3 really started off on all cylinders for Elijah and Hayley. Elijah trying to keep the family peace, by keeping Hayley and Hope close by while all the warring of the new factions started to come to a head. He gets Hayley and Hope to stay in an apartment, right across from the compound.
